On September 15, 2025, Associate Researcher Wu Enxiu from Tianjin University was invited by the center to conduct academic exchanges. Researcher Wu Enxiu delivered an academic report titled "Two-Dimensional Atomically Layered Semiconductor Photoelectronic Doping Technology and Its Application in Novel Information Devices". The report was chaired by Professor Chen Ke, and teachers and graduate students from the center attended the presentation.
Researcher Wu Enxiu highlighted the photoelectronic doping technology of two-dimensional atomic layer semiconductors and its application in novel information devices in his report. Advancing atomic-level manufacturing is one of the key strategic directions for China to seize the initiative in future development, and realizing the construction and regulation from "two-dimensional layered materials" to "functionalized information devices" is a crucial aspect of promoting the development of atomic-level manufacturing. This report focuses on the interaction between light and two-dimensional atomic layer materials, proposing a core basic technology of photoelectronic doping that possesses the characteristics of "controllability, reconfigurability, and non-volatility". This technology enables dynamic reconfiguration of p-type, n-type, bipolar, and anti-bipolar transistors, and is applied to construct novel ternary inverters, high-capacity photoelectronic flash memory devices, and integrated computing and storage photoelectronic synaptic devices. It provides a solution for the application and development of information devices based on two-dimensional atomic layer materials in the post-Moore era.
Introduction to the presenter:
Wu Enxiu is an associate researcher, assistant dean, and doctoral supervisor at the School of Precision Instrumentation, Tianjin University. He primarily focuses on the regulation of transport properties in novel two-dimensional semiconductor devices, the design of new sensing, storage, and logic computing devices, as well as the application research of integrated memory and computing devices such as synaptic transistors and memristors. Currently, He leads one sub-project of the "Intelligent Sensors" special project under the National Key Research and Development Program; one general project and one youth project from the National Science Foundation of China (a total of 2 projects); 7 provincial and ministerial-level projects including key projects from the Tianjin Natural Science Foundation, youth projects from the Tianjin Natural Science Foundation, open topics from the National Key Laboratory, and open topics from the Songshan Lake Laboratory, and 2 million-level horizontal projects. As the first author and corresponding author, He has published 33 high-level SCI articles in well-known journals such as Science Advances, ACS Nano, Nano Letters, and Advanced Functional Materials. He has been granted 3 patents as the first inventor and is invited as a young editorial board member of journals such as Nano Research and Materials Future.
