On the afternoon of May 17, 2021, Professor Hongbo Li of Beijing Institute of Technology gave an academic report entitled "New photovoltaic materials and Technologies" . The report was presided over by Professor Chen Ke of the School of Physics and Electronics. Some teachers and graduate students of our college attended the report.

Professor Hongbo Li in the report, the combination of high temperature liquid phase synthesis of semiconductor nanocrystals chemical controlled synthesis and optical technology, quantum dot spectrum regulation and solar technology related knowledge, share the absorption of the quantum dots and light regulation, new preparation technology of condensing technology and the application research of quantum dots in the condenser.

The operation of fluorescent condensing devices depends on fluorescent substances that meet specific absorption and emission characteristics. Quantum dots have the optical properties of tunable structure, which can realize the regulation of absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum. Thus , it reduce the self-absorption of photon transmission during device operation, which provides a possibility for the performance optimization of  concentrator devices. This paper focuses on the chemical strategies of family II-VI, family I-III-VI and perovskite quantum dot systems in realizing Stoker shift regulation, and the device fabrication methods based on coating technology. Professor Hongbo Li had in-depth discussions and detailed explanations with the teachers and students present on the issues of interest, which broadened their scientific research horizons and provided valuable scientific research ideas to the students.
